Enrollment

Thank you for your interest in the Playhouse! Follow the steps below to begin your child’s enrollment process:

  1. Research - Please take the time to navigate our website to understand who we are and what we value.

  2. Apply - Please fill out an application online below. We will review your information and, if the initial requirements are met, we will automatically put your child on our waiting list. There is no application fee.

  3. Visit/ Intro call - We will contact you to schedule a visit or introductory call. We highly encourage you to visit the school (or have your child do a trial day) to gain a better sense of the environment and determine if it will be a good fit for your child. If this is not possible, we can do a call instead.

  4. Video Audition - We are a theater school and take the arts very seriously. We will ask you to send us a 1-2 minute video of your child acting, playing an instrument, reading poetry, singing a song, etc… Be creative! We want to know your child is serious about the arts as well.

  5. Acceptance - We will send you an offer to enroll, along with our Playhouse Handbook which has more detailed information regarding the program.

  6. Secure your spot - Notify us you accept the offer and pay the invoice by the due date. Your child is now a member of Nosara Playhouse!

Tuition - 2024 - 2025 School Year

  • Qualify for Local Rate if any of these conditions are met:

    • Already attended one full school year (3 Trimesters)

    • Student is a permanent or temporary resident and holds a valid DIMEX

    • Student is a Costa Rican National

  • Sibling discount of 5% per child, after first child

  • Tuition does not include cost of curriculum/books

  • All payments are non-refundable

    Winter 2025 Trimester

  • Local Rate - $4,189

  • Expat Rate - $4,956

    Spring 2025 Trimester

  • Local Rate - $2,806

  • Expat Rate - $3,266

Application

Please be aware, enrollment is done by Trimester, with three Trimesters every year. Current members of the Playhouse receive first priority for the following Trimester. We only accept full-time students (Monday - Friday) and prioritize those who wish to attend for the entire year. Children must be at least 6 years old before first day of class and we offer enrollment up to the 8th grade.
