Nosara Playhouse is an independent, alternative learning program and is not a MEP-certified school. We do not provide academic accreditation, official diplomas, or MEP-recognized certifications. Our program is designed for international, traveling, worldschooling, and other families seeking a creative and flexible learning experience outside the traditional school model.

Families who require formal enrollment, transcripts, or accreditation maintain those independently through their home country, homeschool program, online school, or another accredited educational provider.

We do partner with an umbrella school called West River Academy and can assist with providing documentation of your child’s experience at Nosara Playhouse for an additional fee.

We begin early September and run until the the end of June the following year. We offer both Full-Term and Short-Term enrollment by Trimester. Our classes run from 8:30am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday.

We facilitate tutoring in reading, writing, and math to support children who need extra assistance. For students with learning disabilities, our ability to help depends on the severity of the disability, as we are not equipped to offer specialized support.

No. We do not allow drop-ins, however, we do have a Short-Term enrollment option by Trimester depending on space availability.

We provide a delicious, nutritious lunch and snack everyday.

All meals include gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options. For snack we have fresh fruit, sliced vegetables, and popcorn. All of our food is cooked on site.

Our lunch menu includes:

All of our instruction is in English, however, we do provide Spanish instruction.

We do not require proof of vaccinations to enroll at this time.

We provide an after-school program that is open to the public. Our goal is to expand on this program and provide free, enrichment activities to the local children in Nosara. We want all children in Nosara to benefit from the creative, vibrant and artistic talent available.
