We are a private Elementary and Middle school (1st - 8th Grade) and prioritize the Arts and creativity above all else. We use Theater In Education as a tool to enhance a child’s educational experience, combining both Montessori and Waldorf principles. We have created a magical space where children are given the freedom to express themselves through the arts. This freedom is woven throughout the academia to create an imaginative space for all types of children.
We have two separate classes and our teacher-to-child ratio hovers around 10:1:
Elementary (1st through 6th Grade) - 6 to 12 years old
We group children together as the older children tend to teach the younger ones (Montessori Method). Throughout the day, this classroom is usually divided into three separate classrooms depending on age group and subject studied.
Middle School (7th through 9th Grade) - 12 to 15 years old
We rotate teachers by subject matter in the Middle School, and the day is broken down into study periods
Social/Emotional development is a primary focus of ours and central to our core beliefs and learning system. Every morning, the children attend a Morning Circle to discuss what is happening in their lives. A great way to start the day!
On the last day of every Trimester, the school performs a theater show!
All instruction is in English and Spanish is used conversationally
